Prof Crawford will distil his research on madness and literature, exploring ‘Mad Lit.’ in the context of storytelling/narrative in mental health care and the notion of ‘applied literature’ in medical/ health humanities. Prof Crawford leads the development of the popular AHRC-funded website www.madnessandliterature.org and his most recent co-authored book is Madness in Literature (Palgrave: London, 2010).
